Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to thephuzz.com ("Website"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services available on our Website and the Captain's Club Twitch Extension, including the Captain's Club membership programme, the Bucks Shop, Perks, Bounties (the Wanted Board) and The Vault, Captain's Log, Word Plunder, giveaways, and related features. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

You must meet the minimum age required by Twitch in your country (13 or older) to use these services, because every account is a Twitch account.

2. User Accounts and Platform Integrations

2.1 Twitch (Primary)

Captain's Club uses Twitch as the primary identity platform. You sign in on the Website with "Log in with Twitch", and when you use the Captain's Club Twitch Extension you agree to allow us to receive your Twitch user ID via a token issued by Twitch. No Discord account is required to participate. Your Twitch user ID is used to:

  • Identify your Captain's Club membership and display your PhuzzyBucks balance on the Website and within the extension panel.
  • Show your giveaway participation, ticket count, and past winners.
  • Track your Captain's Log watch time and collectible drops.
  • Record your redemptions, bounty submissions, votes and Vault Keys.
  • Deliver notifications such as giveaway announcements, approvals and prize codes to your inbox.

Use of the Twitch Extension is also subject to Twitch's Terms of Service.

2.2 Discord (Optional)

Discord integration is entirely optional. You may choose to link your Discord account through the Website to receive a PhuzzyBucks bonus for being a member of The Phuzz Discord server. Linking Discord is not required to access Captain's Club features. If you do link your Discord account, you agree to allow us to access your Discord username, user ID, and server membership status.

3. Permitted Use

You agree to use the Website and its services for their intended purpose, which includes:

  • Accessing your Captain's Club profile and PhuzzyBucks balance.
  • Browsing and participating in the Bucks Shop and redeeming Perks.
  • Taking on Bounties, submitting proof, and voting in live chat votes.
  • Viewing giveaways and Captain's Log progress via the Website or Twitch Extension.
  • Optionally linking your Discord account for additional benefits.

4. PhuzzyBucks and Virtual Currency

PhuzzyBucks are a virtual in-stream currency with no monetary value. They cannot be purchased, exchanged for cash, transferred between accounts, or used outside the Captain's Club programme. We reserve the right to adjust, reset, or discontinue PhuzzyBucks at any time.

Some Bounties require a PhuzzyBucks deposit when you submit. The share that comes back after review is shown on the Bounty before you submit; the rest is not returned, whether the submission is approved or not.

5. Bounties, Submissions and Voting

Bounties are challenges listed on the Wanted Board. To enter, you submit a link to a YouTube video or a Twitch clip showing that you completed the challenge.

  • Your content. You must own the video or clip you submit, or have the right to submit it. You keep ownership. By submitting, you give us permission to view it, show it on stream, embed and display it on the Website, and refer to it in our community channels, with credit to your Twitch name. If you ticked "show my channel", we may also link to your channel.
  • House rules. Submissions must follow the rules shown on the Bounty and the Board. In particular: no griefing, harassment or targeting of other players; leave if a crew asks you to; and encounters must be organic. Staged encounters, including anything recorded in Sea of Thieves Custom Seas, are disqualified.
  • Other players. Your footage may include other players. You are responsible for it complying with the rules of the game and the platform you upload it to. If a person shown asks for a video to be taken down, we may remove it from the Board.
  • Review. We review every submission and may approve or decline it at our discretion. A declined submission may be corrected and submitted again while the Bounty is open. Rewards are paid only for approved submissions.
  • Voting. Some winners are chosen by a chat vote held live on stream. Each Twitch account has one vote per Bounty, you may not vote for your own submission, and any attempt to manipulate a vote (multiple accounts, bots, coordinated brigading) may lead to disqualification. Where a vote is affected by manipulation or a technical fault, the broadcaster may decide the winner.
  • Our decisions on approvals, votes and winners are final.

6. The Vault, Prizes, Perks and Shop Items

  • Vault Keys are awarded to Bounty winners and let the holder choose one item from The Vault. A key can be used once, is tied to the account that won it, cannot be transferred or sold, and expires 7 days after it is issued. Keys are activated by us during a live stream.
  • In-game cosmetics and game keys are delivered as codes to your inbox on the Website. Codes for Sea of Thieves cosmetics are supplied to us through the game's creator partner programme; we are not the game's publisher, and redeeming a code is subject to the publisher's own terms, platform and regional availability. Codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged or replaced once revealed to you.
  • Availability. Items, stock, prizes and Perks are offered while supplies last and may change or be withdrawn at any time.
  • Perks that grant access to a community game server or a Twitch role (such as VIP) are for a limited period stated on the Perk and may be revoked for breaking these Terms or the rules of that server or of Twitch.
  • Redemptions are final. Where something we provide fails to work, contact us and we will put it right where we reasonably can, which may be a replacement or a PhuzzyBucks refund.
  • No purchase is necessary to take part in anything on the Website. Giveaways and prize draws are void where prohibited by law.
  • Giveaway results are public. If you win, your public Twitch name and profile image are shown with the prize on the Giveaways page and in community highlights.
  • Twitch Drops are run by Twitch and by each game's publisher, not by us. Our Twitch Drops page links to the publishers' official account-linking pages and shows when drops streams are planned, taken from the channel's Twitch schedule. Campaign dates, rewards, eligibility and delivery are decided by the publisher and Twitch, and planned stream times can change. We cannot grant, restore or replace a drop.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Website or Twitch Extension to engage in any activity that is:

  • Illegal, fraudulent, or harmful.
  • Disruptive to the services or other users.
  • In violation of any local, national, or international laws.
  • Infringing on the rights of others, including submitting content you do not have the right to submit.
  • Intended to manipulate PhuzzyBucks balances, giveaway entries, bounty submissions, votes, or any other programme data in an unauthorised manner, including by using multiple accounts or automation.

We may suspend or remove an account, withhold rewards, and void keys or entries where these Terms are broken.

8. Intellectual Property

The content, features, and functionality of the Website and Twitch Extension are owned by thephuzz.com and are protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express permission. Game names, logos, cover art and cosmetics shown on the Website belong to their respective owners and are shown for identification only.

9. Closing Your Account

You can delete your account at any time from your Dashboard. Deletion takes effect after a 14-day grace period during which you can cancel it. When it completes, your PhuzzyBucks, unused keys and entries are permanently lost. See the Privacy Policy for what is removed.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Website and its services are provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not liable for any damages or losses resulting from your use of the Website or Twitch Extension, for codes that cannot be redeemed because of a third party's platform or regional restrictions, or for anything that happens in a game while you attempt a Bounty.

11. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on the Website. Your continued use of the Website or Twitch Extension after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
